What's the best season to visit Paris?
Summer Bliss: June to August
Optimal for: Relaxing in Parks and on Paris's Beach
During the summer months of June to August, Paris comes alive with warmth and vibrancy. Locals lounge along the Seine, enjoying picnics and wine-soaked evenings. While the weather is superb, be prepared for bustling crowds, especially in July. Mid to late August is quite the enjoyable time to come to Paris to avoid those crowds and still enjoy the summer vibes, although beware that many establishments close as locals escape the summer heat.
Winter Wonders: November to January
Perfect for: Budget Travelers
For budget-conscious travelers, the winter season, spanning November to January, offers a quieter Paris with lower prices. Embrace the occasional rain and chill as ice-skating rinks pop up across the city. In December, witness the city adorned with Christmas trees, Christmas Markets and illuminations, creating a magical atmosphere, but beware the week from Christmas to New Year's Eve does get busier.
Spring and Fall Delights: March to May and September to October
Best for: A Bit of Everything
Spring (especially April and May) and autumn (particularly September and October) present Paris in its mild glory, with fewer crowds. In spring, blossoms transform the city, while autumn introduces a palette of warm hues. Explore street markets, parks, and gardens during these temperate seasons.
This is probably my favorite time of the year in the city.
